John Cardilicchia
John Cardilicchia has been a fixture in Victoria’s Minor and Junior Football communities for the past twenty years. His first stint as Head Coach of the Rebels began in 1998 as he took the reigns of a club that had finished 0-10 in two of its past three seasons. Within three seasons, the Rebels had ascended to the top of the CJFL’s national rankings. Cardilicchia was named the 1999 BCFC Coach of the Year and led his squads to three Cullen Cup Championship games, compiling a record of 33-15-3.
After a three-year absence, 2005 saw the return of Coach Cardilicchia to the Rebels in the role of Defensive Coordinator. In 2007, Cardilicchia orchestrated the #1 ranked defense in the CJFL surrendering only 123 points and leading the Rebels to a 7-3 record.
Coach Cardilicchia currently resides in Victoria with his wife Rose and spends his time away from football with his three children and seven grandchildren.
