Employment Opportunities
The Victoria Rebels organization works hard every season to provide a variety of working opportunities for their players in need of income while living in Victoria. The club will make every effort to ensure all players are employed based on the individuals’ situation, experience and job suitability. This year the variety and choices may not be there as in past years because we are faced with tough economic times but we will ensure that you are employed.
If you are a returning player and you held a job in Victoria last year which you would like to do again, please let us know and we will contact your past employer and try to get you back working with that company.
The Employment Committee acts between the employer, player, and the board of directors to ensure all parties comply with the employment guidelines. All players requiring employment must understand they are responsible for their behavior, attendance and being on time. Leaving a job requires 2 weeks’ notice in writing. Most places require a resume and references. If a player wants to change their place of employment, they must go through the committee and provide proper notification to all parties. You will be expected to find the next job on your own, with some assistance from the employment committee.
